Councillor Vacancies

As part of the first tier of local Government this is an ideal opportunity to take an active part in representing the views of your community, and to be involved in the decision-making process of local Government. Crewe Green is a small Parish with a friendly and supportive mix of Councillors each of whom brings something different to the decision making process. Even though being a Parish Councillor is a serious and important position it is not onerous with meetings only once every other month. Council Meetings which used to be held at the stunning Crewe Hall Hotel, a truly magnificent listed building but when possible are now held at St Michael's Church. As of 1 October 2020, there are six Parish Councillors with two vacancies.

Ongoing Events

St Michaels and All Angels Church Community Garden

For those who have been following the development of the Community Garden, much of the key work is now complete. The initial planting and seeding of the garden has been carried out and two solid wood benches. Spring/Summer 2020 saw the garden transformed as the planting scheme started to bear fruit whilst renovation work has also been carried out on the 'Cheshire' fencing that verges the B5077 side of St Michael's. Anyone wanting to add their support or assistance should contact either All Saints or Mrs Lynn Haliburton who has been the driving force in making this scheme come about. With grants received from both the Duchy of Lancaster and Aldi (for the benches) it is hoped that the Community Garden will provide a peaceful and tranquil place to enjoy within the Parish.
